Group Sessions
STRESS REDUCTION through MIND-BODY AWARENESS

Tom & KiranaFeeling overwhelmed? Are you multi-tasking but still not accomplishing what you would like to? Have you ‘made it’ but feel an uncertainty inside?

Join us for a series of 6 sessions over 6 days to enhance your emotional, physical and spiritual well-being. These sessions, based in practicality, will point you towards your inner strengths. The gatherings are part didactic, part experiential. We learn from each other as the group leaders and participants share insights, challenges and successes. Each session is 2 hours long and includes guided imagery and silent meditation. A complete syllabus is provided. Included is a pass to one yoga, tai chi or pilates class of your choice.

Tom and Kirana co-facilitate this series which is offered the first week of each month and as a weekend intensive. Class size: minimum 5 - maximum 15

Session One: Learn about Stress Physiology and how to undo it with the Relaxation Response
Session Two: Restructuring your attitudes
Session Three: The importance of Exercise
Session Four: Self-sabotage and new perspectives
Session Five: The importance of Nutrition
Session Six: Develop awareness of Belief systems which may be keeping you from your best health

YOGA
Gentle stretches...Mindful breathing. Strengthen and tone your body while cultivating your inner calm. All levels.

TAI CHI
Be grounded on the earth and rooted in the present moment. Tune into subtle sensations in your body as you mindfully perform flowing postures. Feel the chi (life energy) move through your limbs while allowing muscle tension to release. All levels.

Island at DawnMEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS
In this introduction to meditation, you will learn about the positive effects meditation has on our bodies health and on our mental capacities. Ask all the questions you’ve always wanted answered regarding meditation in this ‘how-to’ session. You will experience guided contemplation and we will also spend some time in silent meditation.

ADVANCED MEDITATION PRACTICE
This gathering is for those who would like to sit in meditation with a group, whether or not they have an established meditation practice. Although discussion and questions may occur, this gathering is mostly in ‘Noble Silence.’

PRANAYAMA
During this introduction to Yogic Breathing you will learn fundamentals of focused breath and will be taught techniques to do at home which can increase you mental clarity.

QI-GONG
Learn energizing, immune boosting movement sequences called ‘verses’ You will be taught to focus your breath and mind as you perform healing, vitalizing postures. You will be given written reminders so you may continue your practice at home. For all ages and levels of fitness.

PILATES
Whether you are experienced with Pilates or not this class will increase your awareness of your body while you improve your strength, flexibility and posture. The balance and control you gain will be noticed in other areas of your life as well, not just on the mat.

WATER AEROBICS
Jump in the pool, have some fun and get a great cardio workout. The principles of Pilates and the elegance of Ballet enhance this class.

*If only one participant attends a group class, the fee is $45.00 instead of $25.00. Class size limited to 10.
